From the moment I met you,
I knew our friendship would grow into something more true.
We kept in contact everyday,
Everything was good, until you went away.
In the letters that you wrote, you declared your love for me,
My heart contained a lock; only you held the key.
The feelings were so strong, emotions ran so high,
I thought I found true love, until you said good-bye.
You had'nt called back, in over a couple of days,
I thought something was wrong, but told myself it was okay.
When I heard your message, I thought my heart would break,
Through all the love & friendship, only sorrow I would take.
That day I got your message, I really felt betrayed,
That someone I had trusted, could'nt even stay.
Through all the tears & sadness, I finally pulled through,
To show you that I still care, I wrote this poem for you.
