Pics From My Volunteer Work At My Most Loved, and Favorite Lighthouse!
The Beauitful View Of St. Augustine, Florida standing on the bright red top of Florida's most beauitful lighthouse! I used a lot of time to helping out here....
A picture of the lens - it weights 2.5 tons!! That's one BIG lightbulb....

Imagine falling down these stairs??
219 steps to the top. That equals a 14 story building. If you climb the lighthouse - just don't look down!

A Lonely Girl's Favorite Hobby
A Victorian Sea Sentinel
Built in 1874, this red top, barber pole painted sea beacon still stands tall for more than 125 years of service....and it's still an an active lighthouse! I spent my last few months in Florida volunteering here after 5 years of living in Palm Coast, FL. Ever since I've moved - I will always remember and miss helping to preserve history, meeting new lighthouse fans and being around the friendly staff. But one day, when I have time - I'll visit here again!
There are 2 rooms on both sides - The lighthouse keeper heated lard oil to fuel the lantern at night, and he kept all his tools in there.
